Cellini is always a fun place to go!
I live in NYC so I make the trek from
the upper west side to midtown east side
about once a month. The Krayon is absolutely
fantastic. Would be a grail. As Jay said,
the price is the struggle. Hope you're

Cellini is always worth a visit
Had some down time in New York and went there in a desperate hope of finding a grail watch that they once offered as a limited edition, but the Moritz Grossmann with the green Voutilainen is long gone… Anyway, they had two watches there I’m super in love ...
The Krayon is gorgeous...
...and as a FB fan, what about a titanium version? I think they offer that in some references.

But sadly I can’t pull off the size of it on my scrawny wrist. I did go for the FB3, which itself is a stretch for me (in many respects). Not quite a fusee chain tourbillon, but not too bad. ...
Having tried a few Krayon I can say it was a hit for me too.
The idea, execution and size all work very well in my mind. The price is the struggle.
Yeah it’s a lot
Basically steel with a cool and very clever complication, but it doesn’t feel that expensive. Physically it feels like it should cost half.
feel like that holds for a lot of the independents
I probably don't have an eye for this stuff, but when i went to cellini I felt like most all of the independents were 2x what i would think the watch would cost (krayon anywhere included)
I think the change in pricing in recent years is something like 1.5 to 2x depending on the indie.
For what’s it’s worth I took look at a lot of these watches and expect X to be the price but it’s often 2x or more. Some indies have definitely overshot the pricing, and I do wonder if there will be a reversion from current levels at some point in the nea...

Funny enough I tried that one a few times too.
I think there was a few left when I was considering it. Really really liked it in person, it’s somewhat loud (the dial and markers) but it works.
Love Cellini! Always a great time, their selection is so on point.
Love the FB2, despite the significant price I think they are within range of being fair for what you get.
