Daniels watches only tend to come up for auction rarely

These are mainly the Millenium Watch he completed with the help of Roger Smith and after he had signed the deal with Omega for use of the co-axial escapement (a smart move by Omega in my book).  The pocket watches (of which I think 30 something were produced - not sure of the exact number) are generally held by private collectors or museums.  I did hear of one for sale to the right client, but you are looking at £XXX,XXX at least.  The last Millenium watch I saw come up for auction went for about £90k.  I think now you would probably expect to pay more.  See the post below, and especially the posting by Roger Smith on the Millenium Watch bought by a fellow Purist about 2 and a half years ago:

Admittedly, I prefer the pocket watches, but that is because they are so individual.  That said, the Millenium Watch is the culmination of Daniels work, and I think 50 were made.

Hope this helps.  Contact me by PM if you want to know about the last pocket watch that was for sale.

Regards
