Great watch overall, happy to have one in my collection. To your questions:
1. I got a rather common version in RG with white enamel dial and blued hands so no experience with customization. 2. No concerns over quality - per my experience the assembly quality has even improved post M. Lang era. The Friedrich III I had previously acquired when the man was still at helm had some dust under the dial and slightly misaligned hands. 3. Size-wise: it’s a bit thick by modern standard for a three hand dress watch - similar to a duo face Reverso I would say. I do not mind this but please consider this if you are looking to get a particularly thin piece.

Maybe it is true…. But german watches tend to be a bit on the larger side. I was quite happy when moritz grossman started their 37mm line.

What was the wearing experience comparable to?
The larger size Reverso, in terms of length. But of course the Georg is wider too.

Thanks. Your pieces look great. If it does wear closer to a 44mm Panerai it might be a no-go for me. I love my Panerai but don't like wearing it more than 4 - 6 hours because I find it gets kinda uncomfortable after that.
You buy it for the movement, though might not be the best case

I actually love the case design and dial side too though. Especially if it's customizable to be closer to what is in the OP.

Personally, I would not buy an independent brand where the founders are no longer there, especially if the brand has their names in their trademark.
Otherwise, these are incredible watches and I have been to their shop in the city centre of Dresden.
