Here are my thoughts after reading all these
I believe Singer is a small, highest-end car customizer who only really appeals to Porsche people. There are plenty of those in the world, but the Porsche lovers who also like watches are also sought after by Porsche themselves and a variety of other watch brands who do a "special Porsche edition" or homage. You may say 15 is a small number but the price is a big number and that rules out most who might be interested.
I say no, it won't be collectible because as a watch company Singer is insignificant. And the movement is used elsewhere. It takes too much explaining... just buy another Porsche instead and no explanations will be required. 
That's my 2¢.

Exactly my feeling - it's totally confusing to look at
I have a difficult time switching to my few watches with unusual time display - you have lots of watches like I do, so where them each only occasionally -- I would think you would have the same confusion.

Hello MDG, the Dial can be confusing
The time is very simple you read it at 6 o’clock both hours and minutes the rest of the dial is dedicated to the chronograph… Jim

But it is a little more complicated than that, I am a car guy with a Porsche 992, I plan on buying a few more Porsches to collect so it does tie into the watch nicely in that regard. Also I really want to be a world class watch collector and not all Watch...
I agree with Nico, by your own logic you should buy and own everything Porsche connected simply for the sake of it….

Yes I have looked at the Fabergé before and it certainly is easier to tell the time on and It’s half the price, a great point you make especially since I’m going to get the Moser also… Jim
Maybe I am misunderstanding you here, but it sounds like you made a commitment and send a deposit, correct?
If so, you really should follow through: A deal is a deal, especially once money has changed hands. The company held this watch for you specifically and potentially turned away other customers who wanted one because of your commitment. UNLESS the deposit ...

They may have not ordered the watch if it weren't for your request for the watch, especially once a deposit is made.

What I read was that you had "mixed emotions on following through".
If it were me personally I would buy the watch as I had committed to it and had put a deposit down. Many manufacturers may not need deposits as they know the watch will move quickly if you pass on it (so that is a different story). Esthetics on this watch...
I would assume they can return it...
I don't think is fair that the client has to buy a watch if he doesn't like it anymore or, like in this case, if is a pretty terrible investment

Sounds like you may be committed. If you are a follower of this brand and you walk, you may not have the opportunity to get future LE pieces. If they are just coming out you may be able to unload and minimize the hit. My 2 cents. Beautiful movement !

To me it does not appeal at all, I would not purchase it whatever the value could be. Arguing the purchase with a future collection of Porsche 911 seems really weird to me - then I would rather purchase the watches that come with special edition 911. Only...
I would pass on the opportunity on any brand that forces me to buy a watch. In this case
a very hard to move one. (I personally never buy to sell but I can ssee the logic exposed by Jim: he wants to buy keeping an eye on appreciation and this for me is not going to be the case).
Here's the thing, do you, or anyone, honestly think this question would have been asked if the watch was selling for 1.5X retail. Of course not.
Whether you agree or not, that behaviour really, really bothers many collectors and many feel it is the biggest thing wrong with the current watch world. And this brand isn't JLC with a large customer base - It's a small brand that doesn't have the networ...

my advice, seen the price cancel the order
I doubt they would keep the price for long...if it appears so is just because there are very few buyers. No reason to cost more than the moser.
the singer price is not high, is simply out of touch with reality
I wouldn't be surprised to see many of these unsold or ...sold and then unable to be moved. The design is also not so wow. So unless one is totally in love with it and plans to keep it, easy pass.

Totally subjective view but I do not see any Singer watch as collectible (insofar as value retention is an aspect of collectibility).
Is the watch interesting? Yes, I think so. I actually like the dial and emphasis on the chronograph. And of course the movement is widely recognized, so no questioning that aspect really. But I don’t see collectors climbing all over each other to get this...

I’m more bullish on the track1 than many here
… but the Skeleton variant doesn’t do it for me. The Geneva, London, or Emirates editions are better executions of the design (to me) and more legible at that. I also question the large YG premium vs the non-pm variants. The Agengraphe movement is indeed ...
