I find it hard to complain that a great indie is making too many watches 😂

 

I like the C / continuum line from RG. The price seems reasonable and it truly is a brand entry point not just in price but in production / availability and if you can get a great deal pre-owned isn't that a good thing? Isn't that the way it should be and it's only this recent bubble where everything needs to be limited and collectible? And isn't it great to have a watch that you can wear all the time and if something happened to it it could be reasonably easily replaced?

I did strike me that there are "too many" editions of the c also but I think I concluded that's a good thing. I would feel differently about an L1/2 which sits in a totally different price point and value prop but given the positioning of the C I don't think it's fair to have the same expectations of limited production.

Watches are supposed to lose value preowned. It’s nice that they are becoming more readily available I’d rather own the solid dial Gauthier over a royal oak.

The C series is just on its first iteration, there is more to come.

That was always the plan, so no surprises in that. This is what you have seen with the Logical 1, it has ended and a new iteration is will be announced (Logical 2). This will also be what occurs with the Insight, at some point the Micro Rotor will be no m...

In the pre-owned market. Instead, it is the volume rolex steel sports and a few others, only the people buying know what they are doing.

I think your right about some brands milking their popular models a bit to much imho

When talking about bigger brands a limited edition of a few hundred is more or less normal but when it comes to independent brands a few hundred pieces can lose it exclusive feeling imo . Still a great and fantastic looking watch tbh .

The preowned prices are down which makes it very attractive. It’s less than an APRO used and a far better watch. All true collectors should be happy!

To one of my points above, all the C that came before the C6 had sold at a discount. So that is fully what I expected when ordering my C6.

No different than the Urwerk I have on my wrist today, I was always going to be worth less if I sold it. Fret not, winter is coming. I feel like there will be a huge correction in a lot of watches.
