However, even if I like the long-blade ratchet system very much, I don't respond personally to the modern-looking sandblasted, rhodium finished plates Caliber LF116.01. It feels cold and too geometric.

I agree with you on the bias towards manual wind. It’s an oft rolled out sound bite among us but manually winding one’s watch every day is an engagement that offers far more pleasure than one would expect.
