One of the treats for our group during the week of SIHH was a visit with Peter Speake-Marin at his new quarters -- a very pleasant facility in a light-industrial park area. Since I have the pleasure of seeing Peter fairly often, I didn't do a lot of photo...

Thank you Allen for the video, getting the sound of these minute repeaters on a camera is never easy. A fairly quick minute repeater; finishes in about 16 seconds. Many thanks to GaryG for the thread and Allen for the video.

He really seems upbeat about his prospects, and I sense that he has come out the back side of the "art vs. commerce" mental battle with a good view of how he can pursue his passion for design and at the same time build strong markets for his work. Not the...

towards more models/complications within the Piccadilly line? For some reason, maybe I read or misread it somewhere, I thought the chapter was closed on the Piccadilly. Regards, Richard.

...is that the Classic line will be the extension of the original Piccadilly models, including models you will recognize from the original line. But, with a new base movement (not the 2824 base). Different case proportions (more like the Marin 1 based wat... 

The Minute Repeater Tourbillon is not really based out of the "Classics" or the SM-2 based Marin series. In fact, the calibre, the case, the dials, the bridges and the striking mechanism were all specifically designed for this project in particular. The c... 

...but I think we are in agreement (unless I've missed it again). Three lines: 1. Renaisssance (including the Repeater Tourb) -- all new 2. Classic -- an update on the original Piccadilly series 3. SM -- perhaps some future pieces to extend this line, alt... 

...just depending on how different parallel course come together at different times, we could see a model from any of these series. Right now..the Classics are up. Thank you Gary G.!
