Jumping with excitement - time to celebrate!
It is my 1000th post on this forum!! Hooray!! I have been lazy and have been clocking up my posts very slowly but I'm finally here! Thanks to all the friends here that have kept me company throughout the horological journey! The insights, the wisdom that I learn from you guys are the most valuable things I've picked up here apart from the friendship! What's better to celebrate an event like this than a gorgeous piece of horology? I've been waiting for this a for a little while, so when the FedEx man arrived today, I was jumping with excitement!!

Let see who and where it's from... Mrs Maria Habring from Volkermarkt, Austria!

Ooh.. it's the beautiful pine wood watch box that we all love...
What's inside the box?
Ok, let's see how accurate the watch is... wow, very impressive!
Ok, I can't wait to see the watch now! So what did I get? Let's have a look at the backside first...
It's the Habring2 jumping second, with a modified top plate to show wheel that is part of the jumping mechanism!
Let's have a closer look... my heart skipped a beat....
The finishing is gorgeous! The engraved balanced cock complements the rest of the movement quite well!
An interesting dial option... a white lacquer dial, with black hour markers and hour/minute/pr hands AND a contrasting blued seconds hand! I love blued hands! Black leather straps complement such simplicity perfectly.. classy!!
LOVE at first sight!! Thank you Richard and Maria!!!
The lacquer dial changes colours under different light, from white, to slightly ivory, to slightly grey... amazing!
And last but not least, on a VERY VERY happy wrist!!
All I can say is I'm totally in awe of the Habrings creation! This is the fruit of an unforgettably journey, a journey where I get to work with two amazing people, Maria and Richard, whom I have nothing but praise for such a wonderful husband and wife team. They're always helpful and friendly with their answers. Maria have kindly sent me some 10 or so photos of hand and strap combinations (black and blue, black and rhodiated etc) for me to choose from! Thank you again Richard and Maria for delivering my very first jumping seconds watch!! It's definitely a keeper!
Also, I'd like to thanks all you guys that are already in the Habring family!! The photos you shared of your beautiful Habring led me in search of my own Habring2 watch and I can say MAN, AM I GLAD!!! Special thanks to RJW for allowing me to experience your wonderful brown dial Habring2 the other evening!

I had no idea it could be done, but during our email exchange, they offered this as an alternative as the newer A09 movement had this plate, and they just had to modify it for the A07 based movement for my watch. Love working with them!

Blues hands
Are the Habring watches' hands chemically or heat blued? I have one with silver markers/hands and blue second but just wondered. Great looking watch and movement.

Indeed, I really like the simplicity of this dial. Pretty amazing how both contrast-brushed metal dials and plain lacquer dials can work equally well with the Habrings!
