Independents

owing both...

The 36mm time only, which incidently I both for my wife, is too small for me, I feel. I have a 19,5cm wrist.
Whereas the 42mm with 1/8th second counter, dead second and reserve de marche is a fairly sizeable watch. I'd call it a big watch. As I have opted for a dial wich is extremely sober (white, no chain track) there is a lot of the dial to see and i love that. But beware, this watch is not only fairly wide is it also quite thick. So I am not sure it is the perfect match for a small wrist. Having said that it is of course a question of taste. Maria Habring herself has been wearing a 42mm watch for a long time and I must say that it suit her very well...
If you want an automatic movement,  with or without dead second mecanism, with or without 1/8 second counter, the debate is accademical, as those configuratios only come in a 42mm case at Habrings.
I like my 42mmm watch a lot. It feels and has been very strong and reliable with a bit fantasy with the dead second & 1/8th second counter. It on my wrist more often than not.
Best. Ztirual.
