I'm considering a Habring jump seconds, and am pondering the size. I don't have anything larger than 40mm, and generally wear 37mm, so I'm wondering if the normal 42mm Habring will be too big, especially as my wrists are relatively small at 7 3/4". Do the... 

Hi Nick, I've got a 42mm Habring dead seconds, but in white lacquer dial. My wrist is 7.2" so it's around the same size as yours and I find the 42mm very wearable. It's very comfortable on the wrist. The only thing is that it does look a little large and ... 

I too have a 7+in wrist, and the 42mm cases wears well. Mind you--it is sizable (but that is by choice for the Habrings, who want the case to protect the movement), but the lugs do hug the wrist, so to speak.... What you might want to do is the following-... 

My jump seconds is also 42mm and it is eminently wearable. You might want to consider a titanium case rather than steel: I find it makes for improved wearability because the reduced weight also reduces the watch's tendency to move around on the wrist. I'd... 

+1 to this. It's the only downside to Habring2. In fact, I wear it rarely to work due to this. It's a fun summer watch when my sleeves are rolled up. Wore it today w/ a t-shirt.

... haven't compared with 42mm, though. Thanks to the thin bezel, it may look bigger than you may think. It may also feel thick relative to the diameter. To me, as a business/ daily watch, size is perfect for my wrist (164mm or 6.45"). Good hunting! Ken

No issues with the size of the watch from my end. My wrist is 6.5 inches or so, and I think the size is perfect. I suspect I'll be back for another Habring before too long. Good luck with your decision. Darren

My write is 7.5" or so, depending, and the case is perfect. (Although I am enjoying my latest 36mm watch too!) Consider going with no dial at all! Search for pictures of mine ;-) Cheers, Daniel

Nick, My preferred size is typically 40mm, although I seem to have several 42mm case watches in the arsenal currently...I very much enjoy this piece! BTW my wife wears the 36mm. Not that this should deter you, and as I don't have huge wrists, I would reco...  

...and it wears great. Full disclosure: my wrist is flat and wide across the top, and narrow from top to bottom, so I seem able to wear larger watches quite well even though my wrist isn't that big -- but my sense is that with a wrist over 7 inches you sh... 

the Doxa with Chezard movement. case approx 35mm. i apologise for the marks on the plexi. its nice to own the original knowing that the movement is better than anything Rolex or Omega tried to produce with dead second complication. its also great to know ...

i didnt know panerai had a dead second movement. you learn something every day. i can see what you mean about distraction from the foudroyante. it would probably distract me as well, but the idea of it on the wrist is tempting. best G

...so can't say how the smaller-cased version would wear, but I think my watch is very comfortable on the wrist. I have never regretted my Habring 2 for one second. It's a great daily wearer, and I have the utmost admiration for Richard and Maria. Cheers,... 

My wrist is 6.75". The lugs do not extend beyond my wrist. But it's close. I'd say you're more than safe. For me, it's close. For a classical looking watch that also feels modern due to size, it can't be beat....  

The 36mm time only, which incidently I both for my wife, is too small for me, I feel. I have a 19,5cm wrist. Whereas the 42mm with 1/8th second counter, dead second and reserve de marche is a fairly sizeable watch. I'd call it a big watch. As I have opted...
