Dear All:
I learned from Maria Kristina Habring that their beloved dachshund 'Max' (whom a few of us know very well) passed away on 12 January 2012. Max was quite a personality particularly when it came to women...
He was always good for fun although he knew very well that all his artistry and begging would never result in an extra-sausage...
I do not have any animals around me (lifestyle not permitting), but I can grasp the tragedy that the loss of a companion of years can cause. The more it is important to be able to bond new relationships. Thus, I am glad to learn that Maria and Richard have found a new love, enter 'Mickey (Mouse) ':

Lost my beast two years ago
Incredibly, the loss is right up there with human family members and still aches to this day. So very sorry. Time does heal.
Looks like Mickey is having a good time!

Forgiving
We would all be more forgiving if we shared our dogs sense of time. No concept of either fractions or decimals, let alone rounding errors. Why do our dogs bark when the door bell rings? They are right, it is always for them. And, no one say otherwise.
