Saw the watch before...

I've seen this Maybach tourbillon wristwatch before on a feature that was focused on the Maybach vehicle. However, I always assumed it was an adaptation of a Glashutte Original wristwatch that was cobranded with Maybach.

I had the pleasure of driving the Maybach 57S in August 2008 during the Pebble Beach car weekend. The car is a master of disguise, it can hide its weight, it brakes assertively, accelerates nimbly, and turns with almost no body lean. The transmission shifts in a very lazy fashion, never too hurried, but drive power is still uninterrupted during shifts. A very impressive vehicle indeed.

Wilhelm Rieber and Wilhelm Maybach, the makers of premium wristwatches and motorcars, respectively.
