Sir, this thread has done me a great service

 

It's making me desire that watch a little less than I had. Those lighting differences are ones I'm familiar with from some black dial Blancpains of yore. That dull disappearing act is what you get when you have polished white gold numerals that are flat on top. Breguet-style numerals aren't flat like that, and so (imo) work a lot better.


It's still an awesome watch, of course, but that's one longstanding pet peeve of mine from another watch that this one evidently repeats. If there's one thing I appreciate, it's when someone shows me why I no longer have to be plagued by a watch that I'd been desiring!
