I totally agree that Journe is a top shelf company with respectable people to assist customers. The watch brands mentioned are simply used as an example. In the case I made, if I wanted to interact directly with the designers or Mr. Lang himself at L&H, I believe could do so and give/receive feedback. FP Journe is now at a point (I believe more than 1,000 watches per year?) that there is little chance to become "part of the process". That doesn't make either better or worse, but rather asking what is the value of having a personal relationship directly with watchmaker? I personally like the idea of being involved with the watch I am going to have made. Others may not believe so and that is why I asked the question. I really would like to hear others thoughts on this "personal" relationship.
