It is a watch I have in my head since the first moment I saw it. Why? First because its case is damn cool. Then, because it is very comfortable to wear, complimented by a nice strap. Also because, for an automatic movement, I find it very pleasant to wear...  

The case is one of the many aspects of my H. Moser & Cie. Monard Big-Date that I found so appealing. It makes me wonder why more watchmakers don't take the opportunity to express themselves through this medium. ...  

Its a superb watch but unlike the remontoire this one doesn’t “jump out” as much. The enamel dial is to die for, this salmon isn’t my favorite but thats because I don’t like salmon on any watch

and the brothers are fine gentlemen, indeed. I can't wait to get mine, frankly.

I was supposed to get it last month but delayed until end of October. Looking forward to it.

Just the most standard combo, salmon dial, dark blue strap in steel.

I am a sucker for Salmon dials 😉

I like salmon dials and although I really like that eggshell blue dial, salmon is much more neutral. This will be an everyday casual wear watch so it had to be steel, neutral and informal.

...with Roman numerals. Do they offer a dial with Arabic numbers? I'd like to see it...it would be Calatrava-like.

Looks stunning in real life

You know my love for Salmon dials so if I didn’t had a 1941 already i would have loved to get this watch . However if i would add a Principia now i would go for a rose gold creamy Lacquer dial or the light blue SS one . There so beautiful.

The 1941 case seems perfect to me and the dial finish is really something special to see. All this before you turn it over to see the awesome details of the movement. Not sure how the Grönefeld brothers follow up such special creations in the 1941 case bu... 

I'll be honnest I much prefer the Remontoire rather than this Principia Automatic. But of course this one is also a great version whatever the combination. A enamel dial would certainly be yummy yummy

next thing I know you will tell me the 126719BLRO GMT meteorite would look amazing with an enamel dial instead of the meteorite dial 😉🤣😂 Sometimes there is a time and place for enamel and I dont think putting enamel on ALL dress, high end, haute gamme pie... 

if it had a black enamel dial, sure it would he awesome but I don't necessarily think it would be better either. That was my point about this Gronefeld and a few other watches as well 🤔😉
