What would you say then is going on with a Dufour simplicity? I mean the movement there is acknowledged to be derivative of an older movement, generic Swiss Lever escapement.
Don't get me wrong, I would love a Simplicity, but just to ask. I do think cohesive and beautiful design plays a big part.

I think they think we are all crazy really given where pricing (retail) has gone. But the Biver doesn’t seem out of line with others really.

Love the movement decoration, reminds me of the JLC reverso gyrotourb, but the dials are too restrained for me and while I appreciate the desire to avoid printing, the lasered chapter ring looks cheap 😐
The price is strong but not crazy. Decent wr, center seconds, bracelet and micro rotor make this a really interesting proposition for a supermax everyday watch.
