I feel like it’s been a while since I’ve posted this one. In reality I continue to wear it pretty regularly, and there is definitely the same level of joy strapping it on the wrist as there was the very first time. It’s also one of two watches in my colle...  

I used to dislike this brand, now I'm juz addicted after trying on once!

I didn’t understand it maybe. And for sure it was beyond me for many years. The first one I tried on was a predecessor to this watch, a 103, about 8-9 years ago. It was the most approachable of what they had at the time but even that didn’t work for my wr... 

Tried the 105 and was surprised it fitted my wrist so well. The new UR-100 is even better. wears like a normal watch

That is to say I’m not lining this up alongside a Lange (I chose that as an example of the best finished in my collection) and expecting to see equals.

Has it ever been something you considered? Your collection is quite broad, as is your knowledge and exposure to all things watches. (I’m understating all of this of course). I know of your passion for the “unusual” visually, the Freak being a great exampl... 

So yes, I always considered an Urwerk. And maybe one day I will pull the trigger. Most probably one like yours, which is one of my favorites! Best, Nicolas

Like you, it wasn’t their posting of the exact watch which inspired me or gave me comfort in my decision but rather that exposure they gave me to the brand, and their passion and reinforcement of what I was thinking myself.

Great to hear of the joy you get from the 103! I was torn between the DB28 and a 105 and ultimately chose the DB. But the Urwerk keeps haunting me…. Thanks for sharing it, Jay!

I remember the first time I strapped on a DB. It was, as was the norm for experiencing these less conventional indies, on a trip to Singapore a long while back. Such a cool watch.

I believe it will look just as fresh in 10-15 years from now. At least that’s the hope !

You can never tired of it. Because it doesn't tell just time, it spreads emotions. Yeah, you all know what I'm talking about.... It's out of my reach, that's why I'm waiting for Max Busser to share the new M.A.D. for all us mortals. Watches like Urwerk go... 

But I understand your thinking. One can go “safe” with an all purpose, all occasion and properly sized watch. A utility watch almost. Or you can go for one that will always inspire, will always give you that smile and might be that little bit of madness. ... 

And I must say, our passion. Isn’t this the goal we all pursue? To many eternally smiling faces in this forum!
