Independents

To be fair, my watch is several years old.

It was an odd one.  Unexplained stopping, and then equally unexplained starting.  There was several days between the stop and start.  In the years I owned the watch I may have only worn it two or three consecutive days prior to that trip.  I guess this can be an issue with collections beyond  a certain number and with someone who rotates daily.  No one watch tends to get extended wrist time.

I have been generally lucky with watch issues to date, this one is really the only one of note.  I once had a watch fail (an issue with the hands) right before taking it home, but fortunately I spotted that as I was about to leave the AD.  That was almost 20 years ago.  They were able to get the same watch same day from the brands boutique in the same city and so I walked out with a different watch later that day.
