As a tribute to the GPHG "Calendar and Astronomy" Watch Prize awarded yesterday to the LF Classic Moon, I thought I would just throw in some of the best photos I've been able to find online. For the record, the Blue dial version has a stainless steel case...  

But the backside is, as always with LF, killer cool!

The date window and the glass-like “moon bridge” bother me too. I also wish the date hand would be a little more distinctive, a little less straightforward (like the serpentine hand on Blancpain watches, in a completely different aesthetic of course). But... 

I personally prefer the more technical look of its predecessor, the Montre Ecole, but I am happy to learn the Moonphase won at the GPHG.

because the day and month apertures look nicer imo and because I’m not fond of the “sunglasses” on the moon phase.
