Thank you for your observations. Yes, I agree that the rose gold Remontoire will suit my skin colour well but the steel is the cheaper option for the pensioner. Then again, I agree that one must get the metal right when ordering a watch and not to save only to regret it later. Yes the Cartier is relatively expensive for a watch without a complication although the skeleton dial is arguably a complication on its own. I already own a Moser with a fume dial and am not too keen on the Laurent Ferrier because it is an automatic movement (admittedly a beautifully finished movement) and I prefer a manual winding watch.
