You made a good decision

The Langematik Anniversary is a special limited edition watch whereas the Chronometre Bleu is replaceable should you ever want one again.  I too have a problem with a watch with a blue or unusual coloured dial. Last year I purchased a Moser with a fume dial. The dial was captivating and seductive. Unfortunately, after 4 months of ownership, the novelty of the dial disappeared and I yearned for a more classic dial which would stand the test of time.  I have actually owned a 1815 38.5mm in rose gold. Nice watch but something about the watch did not gel with me. In fact, I had bought 5 new Lange watches in 8 years and none of them lasted for more than a month. Beautifully made watches but I had a problem with each one of them. The 1815 chrono - way too heavy, the 1815 up and down - one barrel providing a 72 hour power reserve resulting in having to turn the crown more than 150 times when winding the watch, the Lange 1 malfunctioned after a week, the Saxonia 37mm and 1815 38.5mm stopped appealing to me compared to the comparable Pateks.  I think perhaps the cure may be the 36.8mm Little Lange 1 moonphase with its guilloche dial!   Yes I am an extremely difficult to satisfy and a classic looking watch might be the way to go.
