I think the watch looks nice
But I am a sucker for blue.
However, this special edition follows the Climate Action with the white face. It also has a contrasting stitched strap and thus appears too much like an LE ROO. I hope we do not see the Hong Kong botique edition with a dragon engraved on the back next week.
Also, I do not understand watches made for people that are not associated with horology - an RM could be worn by a driver, but soccer players do not wear watches on the pitch. Maybe the whole point is that the guy used to play soccer and now, since he is retired, he wears LE watches.
I would be happier if it were simply a regular production blue dial Ingenieur

To say all, that is the kind of thing that leads me far from IWC... I don't like this politic of LE for every thing, or for every one... I love Zizou, I appreciate the Ingenieur in its simple version, but I don't see what IWC wants to do with that kind of...
Now this is odd...
I mean, associating the Ingenieur model with a (typically uneducated) football player is a faux-pas. What's next? UN issuing a LE of the Astrolabium Galileo Galilei dedicated to the Pope?
