IWC

Let's try to give some justice to a very interesting Watch, the Portuguese 5000, which appeared in 2000. This watch has all, some nice volumes, not too big nor thick, a discretly domed plexy, which gives to the watch a pleasant touch of warmth, a well bal...  

Hi Nicolas ..... I'm no IWC-fan at all ... every time i see them in the flesh nothing emotionaly happens to me ... This particular IWC has strong looks, the black dial for instance is very nice, but the case ... no, the lugs also look strange to me .... W... 

You may be very surprised... Well, I'm saying this in all my answers on this topic...LOL Not very original, I must confess, but this is a watch you really enjoy once on the wrist. As ofr the movement,, this is another nice surprise...Not perfectly finishe...

thats pretty interesting it comes with a box showing how the pellation movement works.

and really nice post. This Portuguese 7 Days is, probably, the IWC watch that more sings to me. I didn´t know that it had Plexi.... so, now, I´m just falling in love with it. Plexi has something especial, something that adds lot of soul to each watch... I... 

I really like this Pellaton caliber. Its big size is perfect for large cases and its design is beautiful. Of course, the finishings are not the best of the industry but its decoration is perfect for its style. Something more delicate would appear to be a ... 

IMHO, IWC hit a home run with the IWC Portuguese 7 Day series. The shape of the case, lay-out of the dial, and over-all presentation is outstanding. After an extended mating ritual, during which time I admittedly had reservations regarding the propotions ...

The main reason i like and bought one (5001) is becos this is one of the few big watches in the market with the "correct" movement size. Btw i enjoyed winding it up manually and see the power reserve needle move upwards, kinda like starting up a powerful ...
