Nice IWC...
and really nice post.
This Portuguese 7 Days is, probably, the IWC watch that more sings to me.
I didn´t know that it had Plexi.... so, now, I´m just falling in love with it.
Plexi has something especial, something that adds lot of soul to each watch... I must recognice that I´m a plexi-lover.
IWC mades interesting watches for me (some of the vintage collection, some Portuguese, some Classics Pilot watches, and some Ingenieurs), but I think that a Portuguese would be the best choice for me.... always if I don´t find and can buy a Aquatimer 812, black dial....LOL

The main reason i like and bought one (5001) is becos this is one of the few big watches in the market with the "correct" movement size. Btw i enjoyed winding it up manually and see the power reserve needle move upwards, kinda like starting up a powerful ...

I am not counting those just enlarging the rotor only.
The crystal sets off that dial beautifully. Amazing.
