Indeed, a testament to this wonderful piece of horology is that it is based on a workhorse Valjoux 7750. Being such, it is even more of an achievement that it has succeeded in what many others, with so much more technical arsenal/money backing them up have thus far failed to achieve, a REAL working grand complication. I can only wish that we get to see more of these masterpieces from IWC. A watch brand that might have alienated some collectors by what it has been doing as of late but can EASILY gain all those back by getting back to its roots of producing GREAT watches without extra fluff, this being one of them.

they don't extend this level of craftmanship to more of their collection.
