IWC

I'm looking to buy a perpetual calendar. Cannot afford a PP. Few options I can think of AP RO Rose Gold Perpetual with leather strap or the skeleton steel perpetual The new ROO titanium Perpetual Calendar IWC perpetual Cartier Perpetual calendar or Bregue...

... are the Moser Perpetual, surely one of the most pure / purist PC designs and the Patek 5207. Now if you dropped the tourbillon and the repeater from the 5207 I would be very happy. So basically what I want is a Patek 5205 with a perpetual calendar and... 

I guess not many would think of Zenith when considering a Perpetual Calendar, but their recent offering is very nice. I also like the IWC Big Pilot PP's especially in rose gold. Dean (Picture taken from ) ...

I'm a little biased, but think that UN makes a wonderful perpetual that is easy to use. Can be had in lots of iterations, but here is mine. Not going to hold it's value like PP, but you can get a pretty good discount on them, or even buy it LNIB and solve...  

I like IWC perpetual a lot but don't you think both IWC and JLC are behind AP as far as novelty in Perpetual is considered and is also a better perpetual timepiece?

What Is the base used in the R.O from AP? ...
