Hi Nicolas, This one is a dream watch. Modern, technical, daring, and wearable even if it's large. I'd love to wear that watch, that is clearly under regarded, although more interesting than a Richard Mille IMVHO. Best Dje

Agreed that it deserves more interest and consideration. One thing to avoid is to give too much importance to the size, on the paper. Once on the wrist, and a normal wrist, I mean, it works! Best, my friend. Nicolas

Very technical and modern.I think that if it was signed by Richard Mille it will be priced at least 200.000 euros instead of 45.000. When it was first indrodused back in 2010 JLC said that the calibre 781 was a" new base movement that will lend itself in ... 

The word from individuals at the company was that it wasn't working reliably with the silicon escapement components. It's not that they couldn't get one to work, it was the overall challenge of getting it to keep a rate reliably in the context of a watch ... 

But I am confident JLC can blend original and daring watches and Tributes, even if they have to avoid the " easy way " the " montre en trop ". Look what they did in paralell with the Tributes: The Hybris Artistica and Mechanica, the Gyro III, and some stu... 

I think it was something to see with the fact that the Swatch Group patented the use of silicon escapement... JLC was too slow on that matter and couldn't deal with this legal issue... It is a pity they didn't use the silicon escapement on the 781, but it... 

Many thanks Nicolas, for highlighting this exceptionally impressive, imaginative, and important JLC. You hit the bulls eye regarding the way this watch wears. In addition to the well-known accommodation provided by the short lugs, micro-adjustable buckle,...

I also agree on the comparison done before with RM, technically speaking, but, perhaps, the unorthodox shape of RM watches is a pro as fitting on a wrist. Thanks for the additional pictures. best regards, chris

I like the splash of red, it breaks up some of the grey and silvers of the dial parts. -MW

I have seen that watch in a clean, non-transparent dial, in a Duometer-style case. Dual-time, digital chrono counter. Very beautiful! -Dean
