Experience with Watchfinder?

Hi all,
Hoping to tap into your wealth of knowledge. Does anyone here have experience with Watchfinder (a franchise owned by the Richemont group specialized in selling pre-owned watches)? My wife and I just got the worst service from them, and I am keen to hear your experience/suggestions.
We bought a JLC Reverso for my wife a couple of years ago in London from Watchfinder, and as we took it to our local AD (in Copenhagen) for service a year and a half later, he informed us that one of the four screws on the backside was missing, one of them was broken (but left in) and the glass had been wrongly put on (in fact, glued on), and therefore moist had come inside the watch. The conclusion was that the price of repair was about the same as a new Reverso.
As we now ask Watchfinder for their take on this, they just repeat the conclusion of the local AD, and take zero responsibility, as their 12 months warranty period had expired.
Any similar experiences or suggestions on how to proceed from this experienced group collectors?
Cheers.
