Hi, I have recently acquired ad used one that came without the instruction manual, watch seems to be in good condition but I can't figure out the internal roating bezel. The crown that operates it is on the upper left side as you know but it is extremely ... 

The one at 10 o'clock operates the bi-directional bezel (unfortunately, it doesn't have any 1-minute notches, but slips freely). The crown at 2 o'clock operates the alarm (pull it out to set the alarm time), push in and wind to contract the alarm's spring... 

the crown at 10. It does not pull out. If you did, well you have to send it back to Richemont for hospitalisation. Enjoy the watch. It's one of the best I think JLC have come out with and a keeper for me. cheers PAt

This is one of the specificities of the Cal 918. As for your bezel being too hard to turn, it is difficult to judge. I had this MC Memovox, 5 or 6 years ago, and I don't remember it was too stiff. Maybe you can show it to a JLC Boutique, as they have a wa...

Thanks. The bezel crown does not seem that hard anymore. Maybe I just got used to it. But what you said is exactly what my watchmaker said. If it is too easy to turn how good is it to have it then. How would you know when that damned frozen pizza is ready... 

Welcome! Congrats, the Master Compressor Memovox is a very nice choice! For me it's my go to watch, my beater... :) As for the bezel crown, no it should not be hard to turn. Infact mine is almost too smooth so I turn the bezel with my wrist... I would ask... 

I will take it to a local watchmaker, he is a good guy and ask him to open the case and take a peek. Other than that I am enjoying the watch, it will also be my go to watch I think, taking the place of an IWC aquatimer. It is just a little sad that I may ...

I took it to my local watchmaker, he said that he did not think the bezel crown had anything wrong, he opened the case and we had a look at the movement. It's all cool! Thanks for all your help folks, I will get pics of my wife's at some point and post. ...
