I don’t know of the missing parts were taken from their vintage stock or made on purpose. 37 mm is the lug to lug; the width is only 24 mm: a truly small watch by today’s standards. But it works for me. And I really love how the restoration work has been ... 

I absolutely LOVE it I genuinely find it hard to believe just how great it turned out to be! Every single detail looks immaculate, and paired with that sublime burgundy strap and buckle it makes the totality of the piece irresistible .... Supremely happy ...

First off, the watch has presence on your wrist. So size then is irrelevant to me, I think with the light colour dial and those lugs this is plenty (size) of watch for your wrist. Looking at the other examples in your earlier post I believe yours with the...

I envy you...having this passed down. Neither my Grandfather or Father had any watches....I would have enjoyed having a vintage watch from my Grandfather and something from my Dad. Cherish that watch and the memories!

I like the size very much indeed: larger, this watch wouldn’t look as refined and I think that its presence on the wrist would be paradoxically diminished (from a quality rather than quantity perspective). Best, Emmanuel

Now we expect lots of posts with this watch down the line. It is such a beauty. Funny to think about the life it has lived on your grandfather’s wrist. Fascinating.

In fact, it was already visible on some photos taken last Friday (as can be seen above), just after the new strap was fitted. But I was so captivated by the dial, the hands, etc. that I only noticed it on Sunday afternoon. Was it there from the start, eve...
