Oh wow, my friend. It came out amazing.
This is a very special moment. I don’t know how you have felt but I really had my fingers crossed for this project. I have the Omegas from both my grandfathers and they are very, very dear to me and can never be replaced.
I think JLC have done an outstanding job. Really! I was particularly nervous about the dial restoration and I think I even advised you against it in your initial thread. But I have to say, going back and forth between the before and after pictures, that to me there is absolutely no doubt, that you made the best decision. I LOVE the vertical grain on the dial. It is absolutely beautiful and underlines the watch so well. You have really given this watch a new life in the best possible way. I think your grandfather would have been thrilled. It is such a sexy watch with the stirrup design and and a beautiful layout. To me it oozes class. The design is so clean and well done as well, as very original. Something you can really use and wear and not just a nice heirloom for your safe.
May it give you many happy hours on your wrist.
