Jaeger-LeCoultre

A very interesting and comprehensive post regarding a model that, to this date, has been a favorite of mine.

I continue to be enamored by the Duometre line.  Ever since my first encounter with the Duometre à Chronographe I have felt that it is exactly what it is advertised to be.  I am honored to still possess five.  In the contained listing of the models produced in the Duometre line, left out were the original limited editions of the Chronographe and the QL in yellow gold cases with antique while dials.  Also left out was the UTT original release, the white gold with enamel dial (the Paris boutique edition).

As advertised the time keeping is superb as the concept of the dual-wing is very effective as explained in this posting.

I have been one of those voices that has been pleading with anyone in the organization, including Catherine, to expand the Duometre line and not just with different dial colors.  I even suggested a new model and asked for the honor of spending an hour or two with a watchmaker/engineer to see if my idea could work (sadly that didn't happen).  I am not sure if my conceptual drawing still exists but I think that it was a good idea that lived up to the concept of separating time function power from the power supply for the complication.

With the release of new Duometres within the next few days, I am sure that will be temptation.  I am faced with the predicament of clamoring for a new model for years and now having to step up to the plate to put my money where my mouth has been.  wink

Cheers

Mitch
