It's a bit a narrow view to believe JLC of today has a very different focus or has parted ways..
The multi-axis tourbillons were introduced in 2004, and there has been one or the other in production since the last 20 years.
You could label them oligarch watch design, or more positively as halo-watches.
In fact, multi-axis tourbillons are pretty much inherent of modern-era JaegerLeCoultre since they were the first major branch to launch one commercially.

Well, at that time there was innovation for everyone and every " wallet ". See the Amvox II, for example. The last " affordable " original watch was the... Geophysic True Second and Universal Time.
And that was in 2015, if my memory serves me well... Now if you want originality, you have to go high end. Which is not bad. But which is sad is that they gave up the access and mid level in terms of originality and innovation. Best, Nicolas

Which is all fine. I certainly have my prejudices too against certain brands - and once in a while I do get a wake-up call making me realize that they actually do great stuff, just coming at it from a different perspective.

Mine has been back in Switzerland for a full service since the beginning of Jan. I'm getting impatient wanting it back on the wrist. Your photos have helped tide me over haha.

Out of curiosity, any particular reason for the service or just taking care of the watch?
I believe it hasn't been serviced in years and was running fast so it was time for a service.
When it returns I'm going to try to get a custom strap made, I'll let you know how it goes.
