Just want to share some pictures of this special watch. I see it as an expression of the JLC savoir-faire or maybe vouloir-faire in the sense that they wanted to demonstrate their capabilities to the world. Even today, some 12-14 years later it still mama...

It's a bit a narrow view to believe JLC of today has a very different focus or has parted ways.. The multi-axis tourbillons were introduced in 2004, and there has been one or the other in production since the last 20 years. You could label them oligarch w... 

And that was in 2015, if my memory serves me well... Now if you want originality, you have to go high end. Which is not bad. But which is sad is that they gave up the access and mid level in terms of originality and innovation. Best, Nicolas

Let me try to rephrase my thinking. I find that the balance between halo-watches and watches for more normal budgets has shifted. I (seem to) remember ia time where you were able to choose between a number of Master Controls, Master Compressors, Amvoxes a... 

It’s a crazy statement but also perfectly understandable. This one is so cool.

Which is all fine. I certainly have my prejudices too against certain brands - and once in a while I do get a wake-up call making me realize that they actually do great stuff, just coming at it from a different perspective.

While Mille can be, but Hublot is just a Hublot. Hublot wins my watch brand of the day contest by be surfing on the WPS App.

Struggling to accept JLC’s current focus/direction - but again, probably lots of things I don’t know about JLC as a business.

Too big for me, but a work of art indeed.

It always takes me a bit of time adjusting to its size in all dimensions. But then I always end up smiling. .

Mine has been back in Switzerland for a full service since the beginning of Jan. I'm getting impatient wanting it back on the wrist. Your photos have helped tide me over haha.

Out of curiosity, any particular reason for the service or just taking care of the watch?

When it returns I'm going to try to get a custom strap made, I'll let you know how it goes.
