the rose-gold and steel version for the 6 & 12 o'clock? To me the arabic 6 & 12 makes the rose-gold version less align with its predecessor, both in spirit and appearance. Thanks for your detailed report.

So,why not? It is a matter of choice, and to have seen them in the flesh several times during the " SIHH " and at the Paris Event, I must say that both re temtping choices. Now, some will certainly prefer the SS version, for its a tad more sober dial. A m...

and, yup, the ss version gets my vote. Looking to try it out at the local JLC boutique end next week, where the SIHH novelties would be showcased.

This watch is simply stunning and the price tag is attractive. Would you happen to have a wrist shot? I tried this Tribute in Geneva on my wrist and it felt really good. Your African-jungle-style-wrist is so well known here that one picture would tell eve...

Inside the JLC novelties, I also see the Tribute To DSA, and the Reverso Minute Repeater... I would also mention the Panerai Pam 372, and the Lange Saxonia UT. These are the 2011 Champions, in my opinion... Best, Nicolas.

Thank you for your detailed report. I am truly attracted by the SS version. White metal and black(ish) dial, baton index, 2 hands.... Very appropriate dress/business watch. I am glad it is NOT LE so that this can wait my bank account to be replenished NIC...

That sounds very good, hs. In the TT 1931 case, I would say both if them, son't you think? Tribute to some values, too: Class, Elegance, Timeless. As for the best occasions to wear it, they may be dressy or casual, as the watch can be pleasantly worn with... 

Hence, all you expressed is " a point" (or is it "au point" ?) -- alas, my French "bumpy at times" ;-)... But relating, feeling with so many remarks here , and enjoying the pics - very well made, even what the "String within " is telling in return, Thanks...

as the SS TT 1931 is not limited. Go for your prirorities, first, then you'll get this one. What I fear with the TT 1931 is that as I own the 70eme, I will have to get a 60eme, too, to complete the Anniversary Reversos. Best, George. Nicolas.

The original Reverso 1931 came in 2 versions, including the 'deluxe' one which was one of the first watches at the time to be fitted with a Sahire glass. (standard was organic acrylic + unadjusted movement, deluxe was saphire and 15 jewels adjusted mvt). ... 

The GR TT 1931 Protos I saw in Geneva came with a ... plexy. I asked about this point to several people, and I always got this answer. I tested myself the watch, and I can confirm that it was a plexy. BUT... There is a big BUT... The definitive watch may ... 

Indeed, the tribute could have both the plexy or the saphire, and still be consistent with the original (standard or deluxe). As much as I think it is important to have a plexy for the re-editions of the polaris or the Deep Sea (because domed plexy has a ...

pure class and a beautiful re-edition but in a more modern size which will work for either male or female wrists. If I had a partner I might be tempted to get one for her so I could wear it too.. For me the black face is a stunner...how hard is it to get ...

Having the original and the Tribute is an excellent idea for any JLC Fan. I will get this new bird as soon as possible, as I need to re build my collection, a bit. Luckily, this is not the most expensive one to hunt. And it will change you from your usual...

to think about Man, that RG Tribute is nice. 11500 Eur is not a bad deal. Moreso the SS Tribute. What can I say, another great move from JLC. Great that you also showed us the Polaris tribute for perspective. I like it that JLC is very careful with their ... 

Their 3 Tribute watches are, in my point of view, 3 great watches. The Polaris was the pionner, then the 2 other " sisters " came this year. With the TT 1931, things were not that " easy " than with the 2 others; as the size was very small, to re edit in ... 

looking forward to it... maybe we can start with how JLC handled it, calling it "tribute" rather than "re-edition". a re-edition would've boxed them in pretty tight. tribute gives them leeway to play around... and sends us a subtle message that the origin... 

And the Reverso more like a Tribute, because on this last one, they played on the size of the case. Well, they slightly played on the size of the DSA, too ( 1 mm more ), but it is hardly noticeable. But they also kept in mind that the original is the orig...

I'm actually curious about the reverso.. As I recall, I remember Patek Philippe also have something similar to the Reverso. Do you know any story behind it? But again, a beautifully written post, can only be written by someone passionate about this brand ...

But i've seen the one by Cartier. And from my observation and my knowledge, the one by Cartier has different reversing mechanism. But the one by PP looks exactly the same with JLC's reverso. Was it a kind of trend a that time? Or could it possibly that PP...
