Finding a Future Matic in very good condition is a quite hard challenge,
And it takes quite a lot of time to be able to say ..YES, this one will be MY Future Matic!
Yours is awesome, too!
What I love with mine is the silver dial and the applied indexes, very sober and elegant.
As for the Vintage documents, JLC provided me these one, as I told them that I was preparing a Review about this special watch.
So I really and sincerely have to thank them for their help on preparing this topic.
JLC provided also to me the inforamtions about the number of Future Matic produced.
But these Vintage documents RULE, as I think that nonbody saw them on the net, before!

Overview of Futurematic calibers: 497 497/1 827 - all above are hand-style powerreserve. 817 817/1 837 - all above are "port hole" Somewhere on this forum are production figures posted... From my memory the cal. 837 has a run of 500 pieces. The references...
