Nice review...agree with one of the readers...getting hold of the original manual and papers...that was quite a feat. Thanks for sharing with us.
I missed getting one of these babies in black two years back at an auction in Singapore. This and a few other collectors' items. Some of these older pieces are really affordable collectables and would make any collection that much more diverse! Will endevour to keep an eye out for these pieces.

Overview of Futurematic calibers: 497 497/1 827 - all above are hand-style powerreserve. 817 817/1 837 - all above are "port hole" Somewhere on this forum are production figures posted... From my memory the cal. 837 has a run of 500 pieces. The references...
