With the Future Matic, the improvements were so important that you could use it as a Daily Wearer.
There are some precautions to keep in mind, and to not shake the watch, if you wnat to start it.
The very first movement of your wrist will start it...No need to shake.
Yes, the Future Matic is way more elaborated than the Harwood, but the Harwood was the First!
I have to make a search on the Harwood, because I don't remember how to wind it once it stops, but I think that this is the same principle than on the Future Matic ( to rewind it )...
As for the pic of the Freak and the FM, Yes, it is really stunnning to see these 2 Monsters together!

Overview of Futurematic calibers: 497 497/1 827 - all above are hand-style powerreserve. 817 817/1 837 - all above are "port hole" Somewhere on this forum are production figures posted... From my memory the cal. 837 has a run of 500 pieces. The references...
