Nicolas, thank you for another brilliant post. I knew from all the publicity materials that the Grande Sonnerie is something exceptional but from your review I now come to understand it is much more than exceptional - it is out of this world. You have did... 

I preferred to about this watch once it had been seen in the flesh. And after trying to understand what it represents in this special " segment " of High Horology. It is worth some efforts, I think. BUT, I disagree with you on one point: This HM Grande So...

More than great post Nicolas. Thank you! What an incredible watch, in line with many other great creations.

Love to see, how a non considered BIG brand (by most of the customers worldwide), shows the "others" how things must be done. Despite I LOVE other BIG creations from VC, PP, FP Journe, Lange, sorry but not the FM, the new creation from JLC it's like a rus... 

Things changed a lot these last years. If we look to the recent JLC history, let's say 5 years, we have to admit that this Hybris is not a surprise. First, the Gyro I, then the Minute Repeater, then the Triptyque, the Gyro II, the Extrem Lab, and now the ... 

Certainly not a surprise. The fact that many "high level" timepieces are running on a JLC movement is something to be aware of. I own two AP watches and both run on JLC engines. Geneva? Would love to spend two days at the SIHH but, my boss will decide, he...

Yep, you can call this the ultimate holy watch-grail. The grande sonnerie is simply out of this world and looking at the movement makes me feel very 'dumb', this is simply too difficult to comprehend . The Gyro is simply in this particular lay-out the mos... 

It requires some work and efforts, yes, but once you did it, you get the idea behind the watch... The HM à Gyrotourbillon droce me crazy, indeed, but I still have in mind the first release.... As for the Grande Sonnerie, it deserves to enter the Pant...

When the first pictures of this watch were released I was already smitten. Your photos and writeup simply seal my fate. I think this watch is amazing, not so much for the fact that it houses so many complications, but more so because the watch is visually...
