Just saw this one announced on the Chinese version of JLC's website. This is a non-limited version this time, with a 30 bar water-resistance, see-through case back, screw-down crown (middle one), unidirectional rotating rehaut and stainless steel bracelet...  

Do we have confirmation about the price? It looks like JLC is charging a huge premium vs the one launched 2 years ago.

Are positive. I am not an easy watch guy, and the watch get an OK stamp. The dial is sporty, wel drawn. A see-through case back, the opportunity to change the bracelet for a rubber strap (diving), a very good watch brand with heritage that goes back befor... 

created much needed publicity and pizazz, the manufacturer has not sustained any of that momentum since prior to 2014, and I feel the ship is capsizing... Where is the captain?

the buyers of the 2008 Tribute to Polaris have not been burned. It is far superior to the 2018 release for anyone that loves the 1968.

Are they getting their inspiration from IWC? The blue & orange colors commonly used by IWC Aquatimers and the bracelet looks like it is from Ingenier.

It's funny after all these years of collecting... the JLC movement looks like it 'always' does... kind of boring and like they did not really take any time to genuinely improve it... ( a quick superficial take on my part) but on the same take... the dial ... 

For that money and dimensions, I think I would rather have a Moser streamliner

Honestly for 30bars I would expect all the crowns to be screwdown along with screwedin caseback, pushpull crowns and caseback secured with screws does not fill me with confidence when it comes to water activities. Colleague bought the date version when it... 

I like many of the changes here. The date window looks much better to my eyes now that it matches the colour of the lume. The middle crown could be quite sensitive on previous models, so the fact it screws down is welcomed. The ability to watch the hammer...

The numerous technical improvements are very welcomed and make this new version very attractive. It should be appealing to the consumers wanting to have something more complex and distinctive than a common Sub. But the overall look of this watch is parado... 

They already borrowed the dial, so why not the rest? Must every Polaris be the '68/E859? ...  

were made in the later version of the current Polaris but no company would be wise to make a full tribute to that one

Zodiac has reissued the Super Sea Wolf that used the same case as the Polaris II ...

Friends of the brand have advocated for this piece for years. But JLC still effed it up on the day. SMH. Titanium would be better. Display back? WTF. Good alarm sound needs the hollow back, non? What's the bracelet detail for diving extension etc. Can it ... 

...priced at £15,800, though the link to the JLC website doesn't appear to be working yet. The limited edition Polaris Memovox (903 8670) is still listed at £11,400. The Polaris Mariner Date is listed in the ad at £9,900.

I'm struggling to understand JLC's intents with the Polaris Mariner, focusing only on China at the moment.

I don't see why it has to extend to the limits of the case to be considered right-sized.

But not sure about the orange touches, and that line from 0 to 15 on the internal bezel is really unnecessary. And the thickness of 15.6 mm...although part of it is the box crystal which is nice. Not fan of the bracelet, too much polished part. I prefer t... 

I'm not a fan of the orange accents, the new hands, nor the line from 0-15. I am, however, excited by the screw down crown, the "notched" internal bezel, and the slightly slimmer height. Aesthetically, I much prefer the previous models such as 9008480 and...
