The Aquatimer I was really close to jump on when IWC released the Vintage Collection... IMO, the best of the IWC Vintage Collection. Best Blomman

I feel so fortunate and humbled to even own these pieces, and now even more fortunate to be able to share with all of you...thank you for making me feel so welcomed.... I am quite new to this hobby and I truly hope to learn more from all the esteemed watc...

I agree with you that they are great looking watches but as a vintage collector, I am wondering how these "fake" old watches will age. They already pretends to be old... How will a fake patina looks in 20 or 30 years (patina on patina)?... These watches w... 

Hello Goldenlutin, Interesting to read your thoughts on the subject. I am no pure vintage watch collector. So my thoughts are a bit different... Guess I am more like Dexter, living two lifes... But in my case it's more one foot in the past and one in the ...  

.. I LOVE the Tribute idea and making of It brings back The Spirit of these distant older times; Yes, its re-Edition , but if done carefully, coherent and faithful to the Originals, these are very nice endeavours ; And , same as you, if JLC ever does some... 

First of all, I am happy that people enjoy their re-editions. My point was just to say that in an historic perspective, these re-editions do not refer to the period we do live in but to the past. That is why I wrote that they don't have an own story to te... 

But, that is the great thing with this forum - we are all entitled to our own opinions. And there is no rule that we all have to agree. But, I must ask since your argument is that if you change something when making a new version it is OK, but not OK to m...  

These Tributes have another mission: To allow people to discover the past of a brand. If some didn't know the Polaris before its re edition, many more didn't know the the Deep Sea Alarm existed. To revisit the past helps to visit, to know it. Can we compl...

While I understand your reasoning, to call these watches " fake" is quite inaccurate and offensive. I myself was not born early enough to be able to purchase these watches at their original releases. I'm however thankful that JLC was able to offer these "...

Most of thre current JLC production has a strong link with the padt, and can be considered as Homages or Tributes. I hear you as a vinage collector, I totally agree with you that nothing will replace vintage watches. Are these Tribute here to replace the ...
