To answer some of your questions...
Dear Nicolas,
Sorry for the late answer.
Yes, I do own a few modern JLC. As an example, I own a Reverso Duoface (first execution). I like it because indications on both sides of the case where not available in the 30ies (except the Movado chronograph prototype). Therefore I couldn't go vintage. The same is true for my rose gold perpetual master control. JLC didn't produce a perpetual calendar in the 50/60 and also black dials were damn rare then. So not vintage alternative available for this one. I could continue for all my JLC. To take an opposite example, I only own vintage Atmos, as both design and craftsmanship (anglage, côtes de Genève) were much better IMHO.
I could do the same exercise for all the watches I own. As an example, for over 30 vintage Breitlings I only own one from the actual production (annual calendar Chronomat). I don't see any reason to buy a new "normal" Navitimer or Chronomat when so many nice vintage ones are around (at a fraction of the price and with nice column wheel Venus 175/178 movements).
And finally nothing is more beautiful than real old patina....... on a NOS piece !
Best,
