Thank you very much for the information. This is the first time I see a confirmed original bezel inlay with round numbers. I was under the impression that all original bezel was with square numbers. This is one of the great things with this forum – you le...
Correct insert on your EU
By: Clavi : January 14th, 2011-00:37
I am glad to see that you have the original insert for your European version, and in rather good condition (it looks original, maybe a little enhanced to correct scratches, but original indeed) If you are wearing it regularly, given its fragileness, I can...

Scratch resistance insert
By: cesare1976 : July 3rd, 2013-18:40
I tought that it was made of ceramic.... My mistake. Is this material scratch resistant? Do you have an idea if its possible to take of some minor scratches? And also if it get scratched, what should happen during the watches life how much a new bezel + i...
Not really scratch resistant.
By: amanico : July 3rd, 2013-21:38
Same material than on the Rolex Subs. It is not possible to take the scratches off, even minor. But youy can always have your insert changed for a new one, by JLC You made a confusion with ceramic, because at the beginning, ithe idea was to use a bakelite...

Perfect nicolas, thanks for your answer. I believe that i also made a mistake because most of the watches nowadays has the insert in ceramic, as my jlc navyseals chrono. But it is just the good and old aluminium hehehe.... Do you have an idea of how much ...

That watch is stunning. Just simple, just gorgeous. I've just place my order to my dealer. I will be perfect beside my Polaris 1968. I have allways hesitated to buy the 1965 Polaris but now I am sure it was great to leave a place for this one wich is some...
Unbelievable….
By: aboen : January 12th, 2011-00:29
This is precisely what I’ve been dreaming about . That European version is absolutely to die for…and the US version is not too shabby either. I believe I commented on one of your post recently regarding JLC releasing a version of the DSA, cant believe its...
So, Drew, you woke up?
By: amanico : January 13th, 2011-12:53
Or you're still dreaming about these DSAs? Now you understand the meaning of my past teasers? It is a superb watch, nicely done, which will bring a lot of pleasure to their owners, my friend. It is worth some sacrifices, in my opinion. Like every dream......
Thank you very much Nicolas

It is a measure of your value to us and JLC that JLC would allow you exclusively to take pictures and to share them with us before the embargo is over. It is also a measure of your dedication that we receive a thorough report and not just a press file to ...
Beautiful!...
By: MattS : January 12th, 2011-02:31
What to say, just beautiful watches. Very well done from JLC, and congratulations for your contribution as I know you were involved in the project. Obviously a great dal of thinking and research has been put into this project which to me explains that the...

Worth the wait
By: karmin : January 12th, 2011-02:56
Nicolas, to answer your last question : it was definitely worth the wait, almost 50 years after the production of the last DSA. Lovely watches, highly attractive, accurate reedition with the fine-grained texture of the dial and the LeCoultre production et...
Yes....and no.
By: BDLJ : January 12th, 2011-03:35
Another great report, Nico. No wonder you were so excited. The design is intriguing and eccentric - alarms to control your dive yet no functional bezel? really stupid. But stupid in an endearing way (now that it's the 21st Century ) It's a marvellously fa...
It WAS worth the wait.

My favourite JLC vintage... it is Christmas again Nicolas, this was truly a brilliant post. The background context of the competitors, the history of the deep sea alarm and the incredible details you provided between the originals and the tributes told a ...
Definitely worth the wait

It is awesome that there will be both US and Euro versions. I know which one I prefer in this case, which surprises me a little as I usually like less writing on a dial. But the US version is THE ONE for me. Wow, it really looks like MJLC did a great job ...
