i totally agree with you

was hoping that annie lennox could do the theme song but ended up on the lap on alicia keys. Horrible song, i think casino royale had a powerful theme song.

Then the aston martin DBS was released and that cool transponder watch outdid the ubiquitous seamaster bond wears.Someone made a remark that should be bond's watch, and i totally agree.

And the car didn't change. I expected a DBS but nope. Since when did Ian Flemming ordain that bond is stuck to mass market products. Bond might as well sport mont blanc products as well.

I was reading the "quantum of solace" book and they did mention higher up luxury products in the stories like cartier, van cleef etc. Bond is now one class below his original class, all because of film budget.

But maybe it's just people like us, starting to outdo bond. I held bond in higher esteem.Or it's just that bond has become a marketing ploy, hero of the mid class.

Well, i'll stick to 007 books for now for bond fantasy, for the original essence of an incredible character.
