Jaeger-LeCoultre

I am sharing a few pictures of the DSA Europe Vintage from 1960 I was able to acquire at the end of last year to add to my vintage divers collection. This watch was already presented here by Nicolas when it was offered for sale by a US dealer.  It now sits alongside other divers from the same era in my collection, I hope it has found a good home and is getting its fair wrist time as this is how I enjoy my watches.  

As you know this is a rare bird and finding a nice example of an vintage DSA is difficult, especially with original bezel. The Europe version was produced to only 200 pieces, very few remain, estimated to around 20 known by the master Nicolas. 

This example is not perfect, showing its scars and signs of wear but this means it has its own personality.  It came with extract of the archives from Jaeger Lecoultre confirming its authenticity but without box and without bracelet.  

After several tries I fitted it on a period correct Tropic Star rubber strap which is consistent and very comfortable to wear.  It is very nice and comfortable to wear, nice size at 39.5mm, nice thickness, perfect proportions a unique look and the Jaeger Lecoultre bumper movement.  Sporty though classy at the same time, a pretty unique blend in the tool watch world.
