Jaeger-LeCoultre

Landed a grail of mine

I have been considering this watch for uears - but always postponed it for this or that reason.

Yesterday, it finally arrived. A Christmas present for myself 😃

I now am the proud owner of a Reverso Grande GMT in steel. A beautiful and slightly technical Reverso.

It has a manual Calibre 878 inside, with am 8 day power reserve. It has two timezones and a number of complications.

On the front, white dial you’ll find the time, running seconds, big date and day/night indication. On the back, black dial you”ll find the second time zone, the power reserve indicator, a GMT indicator and another day/night indication. All this in a fairly compact case, 12 mm high.

To me, this is a prime example of JLC’s abilities and focus back in 2004. Not just content with different colors on the dials but actually building some intriguing models.

Others in that category would - to me - include the Soixantieme series built from 1991 onwards, the Septantieme and the Reverso Memory. All beautiful Reverso watches with a technical twist.

Anyway, enough words. Let’s focus on the watch.
