Jaeger-LeCoultre

Not such a big challenge

I too agree that GT size is a perfect, modern size for the reverso, and more elegant that the 'grande' size (thick or slim), but creating a 'slim' version of the 'grande and big' is still an improvement an gives more elegance to the largest of the rectangular reversos.

That being said, I agree that there should be more focus / more models in the 'conservative' GT size.
When you say that this would be a challenge, well... when considering all the special limited editions of the years 1993-2000 that were once engineered to fit the GT case, (tourbillons, repetition minute, chronographe, geographique, perpetual...)  I think that, with the benefits of even newer advances in CAD/CAM, Jaeger LeCoultre today should see no real challenge in achieveing this.

I know that the current emphasis is on extralong power reserves that require quite a lot of volume (twin barrels), but do we all really care for these 8 days+ power reserve ?

I'd rather have a smaller power reserve with a nice little complication housed in a nice and 'conservative' case, than a 14 days in a wrist-bulldozer

Long-live the GT size !
