Very nice one, Marv! You have them all!
Was studying old documents and if I am not completely off in my French translation, the chrome case version has an "B" in the end.
Another interestiong observation I made was that in fact this model has an "E" infront of the number (as well has the Ref E 159) - which means these were classed as water proof!

pleasure for my eyes - the shape of the case, the layout of the movement, the readability and look of the black dial, the big second ... :-) Would not buy the vintage version (personal reasons/view), but would love to see something on that level ... brand...

The serial number of this E 109 starts with a "B", as the serial of the solid gold watches ends with an "A". Regards,
This is indeed one I would advice as a first step in the Vintage JLC.
