The adjustable clasp seemed a bit gimmicky to me, but once I figured out how to adjust it, I found it very helpful to get the perfect fit. It is also such a beautiful mechanical design.
I only received the gator strap but added the rubber for a more casual look and to avoid moisture concerns. I’m impressed that JLC only charges $250 delivered despite the unique connection system. I was told all JLC rubber straps are the same price.
Finally, I was delighted to see that the power reserve arch is luminescent! The details just keep adding up on this model.

Sadly, but not unexpectedly given it’s age, my EL2 stopped. It stopped with a full wind and the chono not running. I sent it for service and was told it will need to head to JLC in Switzerland, which is not surprising for a watch of this complexity. I dou...
