In my opinion, this watch would be almost perfect with a matching blue rubber strap or, like you wrote, a 100% brushed bracelet. I found an illustration of the Mariner equipped with such a rubber strap on WatchPatrol. All the best ...  

Hi Great review - echoes some of my thoughts, though I still need to see one in the metal. Definitely like to see it available on a strap - as not the biggest fan of bracelets, also while it's nice to see the movement think I'd prefer a solid caseback and... 

And for very nice pictures! I really like this watch, but totally agree with you regarding the price......

It looks a handsome watch but if I was going to buy a JLC sports watch I would prefer an Amvox. From the perspective of a dive watch I would rather have a Deepsea James Cameron. Nice Persol/Stone Island (I had to magnify your picture and google the refere... 

1/ THE CASE AND CASE BACK: I don't really see any Pros to the exhibition case back personally. Would the watch be slightly thinner with a solid case back? Would the alarm sound slightly stronger with a solid caseback? If so, I would consider those signifi...

Balanced with pros and cons. It dawned on me, the Polaris Mariner is a very beautiful watch that happens to be a dive watch. The dive specs are secondary to its unique looks. I much prefer the Tribute to 1968 to this, but that piece has a lower water resi... 

as much as the US LE edition of 800 pieces. The vanilla indices made the watch very warm. -Dean

Though I'm not sure it was a US edition, and lacks the alarm of course. But the "Blue Double Gradient" dial with off-white numerals is certainly beautiful, and it came with a very nice strap. If that's the watch Dean was referring to, I can certainly see ... 

Your bracelet remark: "Why did Jaeger Lecoultre didn't think of a quick setting of the bracelet length, through the buckle?" Unbelievable! The cheapest-of-the-line, the Polaris Automatic, comes with a very similar looking bracelet with quick adjust! So th...

I have been attracted since its launch, and your thorough review might very well push me over the edge, my friend. Agree that the bracelet would preferably have been all brushed. The brilliant dial is the most compelling selling point to me.
